4. Installation Notes

1. Site Selection:

   • Moist soil preferred (lower resistivity).

   • Avoid sandy or rocky areas if possible; use multiple rods if required.

2. Depth & Driving:

   • Rod must be fully driven vertically into the ground (or at 45 if vertical not possible).

   • For rocky soil, pre-drill or use a hammer drill for pilot holes.

3. Connections:

   • Clean rod surface before clamping copper cable.

   • Tighten clamps properly; ensure no loose contact.

4. Resistance Testing:

   • Use an Earth tester (megger) to confirm resistance 1.

   • If higher, add supplementary rods or chemical soil treatment.
